Account deletion

Last updated:

Spinly allows users to request account deletion directly from the mobile application.

This page explains how Spinly users can delete their account, what happens to their data, what may be retained, and how to contact support.

The Polish version of this page is the primary public/legal version. This English version is provided for convenience and informational purposes.

How to delete your account

Account deletion is available directly in the Spinly mobile app. You do not need to sign in to this website or submit a website form.

  1. Open the Spinly app.
  2. Go to Profile.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Select Delete account.
  5. Confirm account deletion by following the instructions shown in the app.

What happens when your account is deleted

After account deletion, the Firebase Authentication sign-in account is removed, user profile data is deleted or anonymized, and the user loses access to the Spinly account.

Future registration with the same email address creates a new account. It does not restore the history of the previous account.

Requests submitted through the app are processed automatically where possible. If additional verification or manual handling is required, Spinly processes the request without undue delay, generally within 30 days.

Data that is deleted or anonymized

After successful account deletion, Spinly deletes or anonymizes profile data to the extent technically and legally possible.

  • name
  • email address connected with the account
  • phone number
  • address and profile address details
  • profile photo
  • push notification tokens and notification preferences
  • optional profile information
  • uploaded profile or identity files where deletion is technically and legally possible

Data that may be retained

Some data may be retained where required for legal, accounting, tax, contractual, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or claim-related reasons.

  • Rental Agreements and digitally signed documents
  • rental history, return protocols, checklists, and service information
  • payment records, invoices, accounting records, and Recurring Subscription data
  • Security Deposit, deduction, refund, and chargeback records
  • audit, technical, and security logs
  • support messages and attachments connected with legal or business obligations
  • data needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or pursue and defend against claims

Why some data is retained

Spinly provides physical electric bicycle rentals. The service involves agreements, payments, deposits, equipment returns, and the possibility of damage, unpaid balances, disputes, or claims.

For that reason, certain documents and records may be needed for settlements, accounting, taxes, complaints, fraud prevention, property protection, and compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

When account deletion may not be immediately available

Account deletion may be unavailable immediately if there is an active rental, unpaid balance, unresolved Security Deposit, open complaint, or another unresolved obligation connected with the service.

In that situation, the app may block account deletion until the open matters are resolved, or Spinly may retain some data to the extent required by law and legitimate interest.

  • active rental
  • scheduled or unsettled rental or application
  • suspended rental
  • unpaid balance or overdue amount
  • unresolved Security Deposit, deduction, or refund
  • open dispute, complaint, support case, or claim
